Gustavo Menéndez-Bernales

Gustavo Menéndez-Bernales is the regional lead of Cisco's Business Transformation covering Latin America, based in Miami, Florida. He works with many of the leading companies and governments in the region to help them become more competitive and productive through effective business processes and technology deployment. He has worked with Health Care Institutions, Service Providers, Financial institutions, Retail and Services Companies as well as with the Public Sector. In the last couple of years he has led the Telemedicine Health Care development in Latin America, implementing award winning projects recognized by the United Nations Digital Healthcare Initiative, the International Telecommunications Union and the American Telemedicine Association. Prior to joining Cisco in 2005, Gustavo worked both in Consulting and Line Management. As a consultant Gustavo has worked with KPMG and McKinsey & Co and as a business manager he has worked with Dun & Bradstreet, ICO Global Communications and Telefónica where he led the Internet Business to Business division. Graduated in Business Administration double major from Argentine Catholic University, he holds a CPA and postgraduate studies from Buenos Aires University as well as an MBA program by McKinsey & Co. He has been assistant professor in Managerial Accounting and lectures in the MBA program for the Instituto de la Empresa (Madrid) on annual basis in collaboration with the University of Miami. Originally from Argentina, he has worked in his country as well as extensively in Latin America, Europe and USA. He has lived in Buenos Aires, Brussels, Madrid, London and Miami, where he currently lives with his wife Silvina and their three children.
